IV administration

Dilute to 4 mg/mL or weaker and infuse over 1 hour.

Neonates: May be infused over 30 minutes.

Other routes of administration

IM: Contraindicated.

SC: Not recommended.

Compatible IV fluids

Glucose 5%

Sodium chloride 0.9%

Y-site only and with Glucose 5% only:

Potassium chloride 20 mmol/L

Additional information

May cause pain or irritation at injection site.

Contains natural rubber latex in the rubber stopper of the vial.

Protect from light during storage.
