Presentation and preparation

Ampoule: 

250 mg/mL [1 mL] 

Sustanon 250: propionate 30 mg, phenylpropionate 60 mg, isocaproate 60 mg, decanoate 100 mg

250 mg/mL [4 mL]

Reandron 1000: undecanoate 1000 mg 

Prefilled syringe:

250 mg/1 mL

Primoteston Depot: enanthate (also known as enantate) 250 mg

IV administration

Never administer intravenously.

Other routes of administration

IM: Suitable. Give undiluted by deep, slow IM injection. 

Reandron 1000: inject into the gluteal muscle only.

SC: Contraindicated.

Additional information

IM injection of oily substances should be given very slowly to reduce the incidence of injection-related adverse effects including cough, chest pain and respiratory distress.

Solution should be a clear and slightly yellow oil.

Protect from light during storage.

Sustanon 250:

Use with caution in neonates; contains benzyl alcohol which has been linked with ‘gasping syndrome’. 

Contains arachis (peanut) oil. Do not use in patients with known hypersensitivity.
