Presentation and preparation

100 mg/mL (volume: 3 mL, 11 mL)

IV administration

Dilute to 50 mg/mL and give by IV infusion. Gently invert bag to mix.  Do not shake.  

Ravulizumab must be administered as a slow IV infusion via a 0.2 micron low protein binding in-line filter; refer to relevant local protocol for recommended infusion rates.

Loading dose may be required; refer to relevant local protocol.

Other routes of administration

IM: Not recommended.

SC: Not recommended.

Compatible IV fluids

Sodium chloride 0.9%

Additional information

Observe closely for anaphylactic reactions.

Use only when facilities for cardiac monitoring and cardio-respiratory resuscitation exist.

Monitor blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and temperature during and for at least 1 hour after the infusion.

Monitor patient for infusion reactions and reduce rate of administration if not tolerated.

Refrigerate, do not freeze.

Solution should be translucent, clear to yellow.

Discard any unused vial contents.

Protect from light during storage.
