IM: Suitable. Give undiluted by deep IM injection. 

SC: Not recommended.

Additional information

Contains sulfite preservatives.

Not recommended for use in children less than 10 kg or under 2 years of age. Administration may cause serious dystonic reactions, especially in children.

Monitor patient for postural hypotension with tachycardia.

Concomitant use of CNS depressants (e.g. opioids, parenteral benzodiazepines, IM olanzapine) increases the risk of respiratory depression, sedation, coma and death.

Solution should be clear, bright, and colourless or slightly yellow. Do not use if solution is darker than pale yellow.

Protect from light during storage.
