Presentation and preparation

18 mg/mL (volume: 16.7 mL)

Bring vial to room temperature before use.

IV administration

Must be diluted prior to use.

Dilute to 2 mg/mL and infuse over 90 minutes via a central line.

If necessary, pending central line placement, a single dose may be infused via a peripheral line over 30 minutes.

Other routes of administration

IM: Not recommended.

SC: Not recommended.

Glucose 5%

Glucose 5% and sodium chloride 0.9%

Glucose 5% and sodium chloride 0.45%

Sodium chloride 0.9%

Y-site only:

Potassium chloride 20 mmol/L

Additional information

Extravasation risk.

Use with caution in patients predisposed to QT interval prolongation or in patients being administered other medications known to prolong QT interval.

Solutions may be clear, colourless to yellow in colour.

Discard any unused solution.

Refrigerate, do not freeze.
