Presentation and preparation
10 mg/mL (volume: 50 mL, 100 mL)
IV administration
Give undiluted or dilute to 1 mg/mL and give over 5 to 15 minutes.
Neonates: Give undiluted or dilute to 2 mg/mL using glucose 5% or sodium chloride 0.9% and give over 15 minutes.
For part-vial or part-bag doses: Draw up dose using 21-gauge needle in a suitably sized syringe (do not hang vial or bag).
Use diluted solution within 1 hour of preparation (including infusion time).
Other routes of administration
IM: Not recommended.
SC: Not recommended.

Additional information
Discard any unused vial contents.
Protect from light during storage.
Paracetamol-AFT, Paracetamol (Kabi):
Draw up dose using 21-gauge or finer needle. Insert needle at the thinnest part of bung to reduce the risk of coring.
Solution should be clear to slightly yellow.
Paracetamol (B. Braun):
Solution should be clear and colourless or slightly pink to orange.
Paracetamol (BNM):
Solution should be clear to slightly brown.
