Presentation and preparation

50 microgram/mL (volume: 1.5 mL, 5 mL)

IV administration

Patients 1 month to less than 17 years: Give undiluted or dilute to 5 to 30 microgram/mL and infuse over 15 minutes. Administer 30 minutes prior to the start of chemotherapy.

Patients 17 years and older: Give undiluted over 30 seconds. Administer 30 minutes prior to the start of chemotherapy.

PONV (1 month and older): Give undiluted over 10 seconds immediately before anaesthesia induction. Refer to relevant local guideline.

Other routes of administration

IM: Not recommended.

SC: Not recommended.

Glucose 5%

Glucose 5% and sodium chloride 0.9%

Glucose 5% in sodium chloride 0.45%

Y-site only and palonosetron 50 microgram/mL:

Hartmann’s

Additional information

Flush IV line with sodium chloride 0.9% before and after administration.

Use with caution in patients predisposed to QT interval prolongation or in patients being administered other medications known to prolong QT interval.

Discard any unused vial contents.

Protect from light during storage.
