Strength

2 mg/mL (volume: 2 mL, 4 mL)

IV administration

Give undiluted over 2 5 minutes, or dilute to 1 mg/mL or weaker and infuse over 15 minutes.

Other routes of administration

IM: Suitable. Administer as undiluted injection.

SC: Not recommended. May be given as an intermittent or continuous SC infusion in palliative care settings.

Additional information

Rapid administration is associated with a higher incidence of transient visual disturbances.

Use with caution in patients pre-disposed to QT interval prolongation or in patients being administered other medications known to prolong QT interval.

Protect from light during storage.
