Concomitant use of CNS depressants (e.g. opioids, parenteral benzodiazepines) increases the risk of respiratory depression, sedation, coma and death.
Do not give parenteral olanzapine (short-acting) within 1 hour of parenteral benzodiazepines; if necessary, may be given under the supervision of senior medical staff with airway support available.
Administration may cause hypotension and bradycardia. Patient should remain lying down until symptoms have passed.
Reconstituted solution should be clear and yellow.
Use immediately after reconstitution. Reconstituted vial is stable for 1 hour.
Discard any unused vial contents.
