IV administration
Give undiluted over 3 minutes or dilute to 0.2 mg/mL and give over at least 15 minutes.
Other routes of administration
IM: Suitable. Give undiluted.
SC: Suitable. May be given as an intermittent or continuous SC infusion in palliative care settings.

Additional information
Extrapyramidal reactions and acute dystonic reactions such as oculogyric crisis are more common in children and are most likely to occur in the first 24 to 48 hours of treatment.
Rapid administration may result in anxiety, agitation and drowsiness.
Ampoules that have a yellow discoloration must be discarded.
Protect from light during storage.
