IV administration
Dilute to 25 or 50 microgram/mL.
Give a loading dose over 10 minutes followed by a continuous infusion. Refer to local guidelines.
Administer via separate lumen or line to all other infusions.
Other routes of administration
IM: Not recommended.
SC: Not recommended.

Additional information
Infusion duration is usually 24 hours. ECG, blood pressure, heart rate and urine output must be monitored continuously during infusion.
Use only when facilities for cardiac monitoring and cardio-respiratory resuscitation exist.
Excessive responses to levosimendan such as hypotension and tachycardia may improve by reducing the rate of infusion.
Solution should be clear yellow or orange.
Refrigerate, do not freeze.
Discard any unused vial contents.
