Presentation and preparation

20 mg/mL (volume: 12 mL)

IV administration

Do not administer without further dilution.

Using a compatible fluid,

40 mg dose: Dilute to 2 mg/mL.

60 mg dose: Dilute in 50 mL.

120 mg dose: Dilute in 100 mL.

240 mg dose and above: Dilute in 250 mL.

After dilution, mix gently. Do not shake. Infuse over 1 hour via 0.2 micron low protein binding polyethersulfone (PES) in-line filter.

Non-PVC bags and giving sets should be used. See Additional Information.

Other routes of administration

IM: Not recommended.

SC: Not recommended.

Compatible IV fluids

Glucose 5%

Sodium chloride 0.9%

Additional information

Incompatible with IV bags and giving sets containing plasticizer diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) and polyurethane (PUR).

Do not shake.

Solution should be clear and colourless. May contain a few product-related small translucent or white particles.

Upon dilution, solution is clear and colourless to yellow. Variations in colour within this range do not affect the quality of the product.

Discard if diluted solution contains more than a few translucent or white particles.

Discard any unused vial contents. 

Protect from light during storage.
