Sodium chloride 0.9% 5 mL 30 mg/mL

Reconstitute with 5 mL of sodium chloride 0.9%, to give a 30 mg/mL solution. Slowly add diluent towards the wall of the vial to avoid foaming. Swirl gently to dissolve. Do not shake.

IV administration

Do not administer without further dilution.

Dilute reconstituted solution to 1 mg/mL. Gently invert to mix. Do not shake.

Administer according to age:

6 months to less than 12 years: 1 hour

12 years to less than 18 years: 30 minutes

Other routes of administration

IM: Not recommended.

SC: Not recommended.

Compatible IV fluids

Sodium chloride 0.9% is the preferred diluent.

Glucose 5%

Additional information

Refrigerate, do not freeze.

There is 5% overage in each vial.
