IV administration
Give undiluted over 15 seconds via a large vein, or dilute to a convenient volume and give as a continuous infusion.
For IV injection:
Maximum rate: 200 microgram/minute
For IV infusion:
Maximum rate: 400 microgram/hour
Other routes of administration
IM: Not recommended.
SC: Not recommended.

Additional information
Extravasation risk.
Observe closely for anaphylactic reactions.
Monitor patient for recurrence of sedation and respiratory depression for at least 2 hours after administration of the last dose.
Monitor for 4 hours with long-acting or large doses of benzodiazepines, and for patients with hepatic impairment.
Benzodiazepine reversal may precipitate seizures: use cautiously in patients who have received prolonged benzodiazepine therapy or those with seizure history, hepatic impairment, head injury or mixed-drug overdose.
Protect from light during storage.
