Reconstitute to 50 mg/mL for IV administration.

Reconstitute to 208 mg/mL or 312.5 mg/mL for IM administration.
IV administration
Further dilute the reconstituted solution to a convenient volume and infuse over at least 30 minutes.
If necessary, may be given undiluted or as slow injection over 3 to 4 minutes; however, this can cause significant pain and/or phlebitis and may result in loss of the IV line.
Other routes of administration
IV is the preferred route in neonates and infants.
IM: Suitable.
SC: Not recommended.

Additional information
Extravasation risk.
IV aminoglycoside antibiotics are inactivated by IV cephalosporins, penicillins and teicoplanin; refer to Glossary and Notes.
Rapid administration may result in seizures.
Use immediately after reconstitution. Discard any unused vial contents.
Protect from light during storage.
Flucloxacillin WABO: Solution should be clear, colourless or pale yellow.
