Presentation and preparation
Prefilled syringe: 2000 units/0.3 mL, 3000 units/0.3 mL, 4000 units/0.3 mL, 5000 units/0.3 mL, 6 000 units/0.3 mL, 10 000 units/0.6 mL
IV administration
Do not shake.
Give undiluted over 2 minutes.
Haemodialysis: IV is the preferred route. Give at the end of haemodialysis.
Other routes of administration
IM: Not recommended.
SC: Suitable and preferred route, except for patients receiving haemodialysis due to increased risk of pure red cell aplasia. Do not shake.
Additional information
Observe closely for anaphylactic reactions.
Contains phenylalanine.
Solution should be clear or slightly opalescent, and colourless.
Refrigerate, do not freeze.
Protect from light during storage.
