Presentation and preparation

Prefilled syringe with needle shield:

200 mg/1.14 mL

300 mg/2 mL

Prefilled pen:

200 mg/1.14 mL

300 mg/2 mL

Remove from refrigerator, allow to come to room temperature for 30 minutes for 200mg products and 45 minutes for 300mg products before injecting, without removing the needle cap. Do not shake.

IV administration

Never administer intravenously.

Other routes of administration

IM: Not recommended.

SC: Suitable. Give undiluted. Do not shake. Administer into the upper arm, thigh or lower abdomen. Allow 5 cm clearance around the umbilicus if injecting into the abdomen. Administer at least 4 cm away from compromised, bruised or scarred tissue. If multiple doses are needed to complete the dose, administer at two different injection sites. Refer to local guideline or Product Information for more detailed administration information.

Patients equal to or more than 6 months old: use prefilled syringe.

Patients equal to or more than 2 years old: use prefilled syringe or prefilled pen.

Additional information

Document brand name and batch number for each dose administered according to local guidelines.

Administration may cause injection site reactions.

Observe for eye disorders such as dry eye, conjunctivitis and keratitis.

Solution should be clear to slightly opalescent, colourless to pale yellow. 

Pre-filled pen: do not administer if window is yellow (indicates that pen has been used).

Refrigerate, do not freeze. If necessary, may be stored at room temperature up to 25ºC for a maximum of 14 days.

Protect from heat and direct sunlight.

Protect from light during storage.
