Presentation and preparation

5 mg/mL (volume: 2 mL)

IV administration

Cardiac perfusion scans:

Dilute to 1.7 mg/mL or weaker to make a total volume between 20 and 50 mL, then infuse over 4 minutes.

Other routes of administration

IM: Not recommended.

SC: Not recommended.

Compatible IV fluids

Glucose 5%

Glucose 5% and sodium chloride 0.9%

Sodium chloride 0.9%

Additional information

Extravasation risk.

Observe closely for anaphylactic reactions.

Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, ECG and respiration during and for 10 to 15 minutes after infusion.

May cause hypotension, chest pain and bronchospasm.

Solution should be clear and yellow.
