Strength

IV administration
Dilute to 30 microgram/mL or weaker and give over at least 15 minutes or give by continuous infusion; refer to local guidelines.

NICU:
0 to < 2 kg: 37.5 microgram/25 mL (1.5 microgram/mL)
2 kg+: 75 microgram/25 mL (3 microgram/mL)
Fluid restricted: 150 microgram/25 mL (6 microgram/mL)
Other:
0 to < 10 kg: 300 microgram/50 mL (6 microgram/mL)
10 kg to < 40 kg: 600 microgram/50 mL (12 microgram/mL)
40 kg+: 900 microgram/50 mL (18 microgram/mL)
Other routes of administration
IM: Suitable. Give undiluted. Patient should be in supine position for administration.
SC: Suitable. Patient should be in supine position for administration.

Additional information
Use only when facilities for cardiac monitoring and cardio-respiratory resuscitation exist.
Rapid IV administration may cause transient hypertension before hypotensive effect.
Taper the dose slowly when discontinuing treatment; abrupt discontinuation may cause hypertensive crisis.
Protect from light during storage.
