Strength
50 mg/mL (volume: 1 mL, 5 mL)
IV administration
Dilute to 0.5 to 2.5 mg/mL and give over 2 to 6 hours.
May also be given as a continuous infusion.
Non-PVC, DEHP-free bags and administration sets should be used.
RCH only: Refer to local protocol for storage and administration.
Other routes of administration
IM: Not recommended.
SC: Not recommended.

Y-site only and ciclosporin 2 mg/mL:
Potassium chloride 20 mmol/L
Additional information
Observe closely for anaphylactic reactions.
Use only when facilities for cardiac monitoring and cardio-respiratory resuscitation exist.
Monitor continuously for the first 30 minutes of the infusion, and frequently thereafter.
Potentially hazardous medication: may require special handling precautions; refer to RCH Safe handling of Hazardous Medicines Procedure or relevant local guideline.
Therapeutic Drug Monitoring required; refer to local guidelines. Target levels vary according to the indication for use.
Solution should be a clear and slightly brown or yellow oil.
Protect from light during storage.
