IV administration
Never administer intravenously.
Other routes of administration
IM: Suitable. Give undiluted by deep IM injection.
SC: Not recommended.
Intra-articular and peri-articular: Suitable.
Intralesional: Suitable. Inject intradermally.
For co-administration with local anaesthetic: Withdraw the betamethasone dose into a syringe first, then draw up the required dose of preservative-free lidocaine 1% or 2% into the same syringe. Shake briefly before use.
Additional information
Shake well before use. The clear suspension may appear cloudy once shaken.
Protect from light during storage.
