Strength

10 mg/mL (volume: 2.5 mL, 5 mL)

IV administration

Give undiluted by rapid IV injection or dilute to 0.5 to 5 mg/mL for continuous infusion.

Flush the line well with a compatible fluid after administration.

RCH Standard Concentrations:

NICU: 125 mg/25 mL (5 mg/mL)

PICU: 250 mg/50 mL (5 mg/mL)

Other routes of administration

IM: Contraindicated, tissue necrosis may occur.

SC: Not recommended.

Compatible IV fluids

Atracurium 5 mg/mL or weaker:

Glucose 5%

Sodium chloride 0.9% 

Atracurium 0.5 mg/mL or weaker:

Glucose 5% and sodium chloride 0.9%

Y-site only and atracurium 5 mg/mL or weaker:

Glucose 10%

Potassium chloride 20 mmol/L

Y-site only and atracurium 0.5 mg/mL or weaker:

Plasma-Lyte 148

Additional information

Extravasation risk.

For use in theatre or intensive care settings only.

Refrigerate, do not freeze.

Protect from light during storage.
