Reconstitute with 1 mL of provided 5% sodium bicarbonate. Shake well for 2-3 minutes and wait until completely dissolved.
IV administration
Dilute reconstituted solution to 10 mg/mL with sodium chloride 0.9% and give over 2 – 3 minutes.
Other routes of administration
IM: Suitable. Dilute reconstituted solution to 20 mg/mL with sodium chloride 0.9% and inject into the anterolateral aspect of the thigh.
SC: Not recommended.

Additional information
Artezem and Artesunate Injection Dunate:
A 1 mL ampoule/vial of sodium bicarbonate injection 5% is provided for reconstitution and a 5 mL ampoule/vial of sodium chloride injection 0.9% for dilution. Do not confuse diluents.
Use immediately after reconstitution.
Calculate dose and number of vials needed before reconstituting vial.
Discard any unused vial contents.
Protect from light during storage.
