Sargramostim injection: 250 mcg (powder volume: negligible)

Sargramostim solution for injection: 500 mcg/mL (volume: 1 mL)

IV administration

Sargramostim injection: Reconstitute with 1 mL to provide 250 mcg/mL solution. Do not shake. Dilute further with a compatible fluid to a minimum concentration of 10 mcg/mL.  Administer over 2 to 4 hours, or over 24 hours, according to protocol.

Sargramostim solution for injection: Dilute with a compatible fluid to a minimum concentration of 10 mcg/mL. Administer over 2 to 4 hours, or over 24 hours, according to protocol.

Other routes of administration

IM: Not recommended.

SC: Suitable.

Sargramostim injection: Reconstitute with 1 mL to provide 250 mcg/mL solution. Do not shake. Administer undiluted.

Sargramostim solution for injection: Administer undiluted.

Additional information

Observe closely for anaphylactic reactions.

Sargramostim injection only: Reconstituted vial is stable for 6 hours.

Sargramostim solution for injection only: Use with caution in neonates; contains benzyl alcohol which has been linked with ‘gasping syndrome’.

Protect from light during storage.

Refrigerate, do not freeze.
